Erik Decker is a Creative Testing Solutions board member. He is vice president and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Intermountain Health, a $17B nonprofit healthcare system serving patients and members through integrated care and health plans. He leads a team of over 150 cybersecurity professionals, delivering a threat-based, risk-centric digital ecosystem. Erik’s career includes healthcare executive roles for over 15 years, 18 years of cybersecurity and 25 years of IT experience.

Erik is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare cybersecurity policy and advocacy. He chaired the Health Sector Coordinating Council Cybersecurity Working Group, partnering with the federal government to define minimum cyber standards for critical infrastructure. His contributions include co-authoring the Health Industry Cybersecurity Practices (HICP) guide and other federal publications now embedded in law. Erik has testified before Congress on multiple occasions and serves as faculty for the College of Health Information Management Executives (CHIME). He also advises cybersecurity startups and has published in the Harvard Business Review.

Erik holds a master’s degree in science from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, along with CISSP and QTE certifications. His proven expertise in governance, risk management, and critical infrastructure security brings valuable insight to the CTS board.
